Sewing Machines under $200
What exactly do I mean when I say “affordable”? I’m talking about sewing machines that retail for less than $200 (US).
All of the machines listed below currently retail for under $200, most for under $150. So, you don’t have to invest a significant amount of money in your machine. You can save your money for fabric and notions!

Hi! I learned to sew on an antique Singer with my grandmother. We would take turns peddling. Then I grew up and started using an electric. For years I never felt comfortable on an electric. But now, I’m ready to try sewing again. I’d like to try upcycling fabrics and clothing. I’ve got many designs in mind; most involving uniting fabrics and then hand embroidery of them. I’m not even sure if I remember how to thread the machine from top to bottom. What inexpensive machine would you suggest? I’ve still got my grandmother’s machine, but I would have to learn to set it up again. Thanks!
