Week One: Gather Supplies and Tools
In the first week of the #septembersewalong we went over the Supplies and Tools needed to complete each of the three patterns in the September Sewalong.
Week Two: Cora Book Sleeve Pattern
In the second week, we learned how to sew the Cora Book Sleeve. What a fun pattern!
Week Three: Pearl Tote Bag Pattern
Last week was sew fun! In week three of the September Sewalong we learned how to sew the Pearl Tote Bag.
The Pearl Tote Bag is a PDF pattern that includes instructions for optional exterior pocket, fabric straps, and even a contrast bottom with fabric straps. Really up your sewing in the second pattern of the sewalong!
Week Four: Patchwork Christmas Stocking Patten
Each week we learned how to sew a fun and practical beginner-free pattern. This week’s pattern is the Patchwork Christmas Stocking. It uses 30 2″ squares of fabric to create the patchwork on the front and back of the stockings.
It’s kind of an introduction to quilting. We’ll not only be piecing together the 2″ squares of fabric, but we’ll also be doing some topstitching (quilting). It’s actually easier than it might sound if you’re new to quilting.

Each week on Sunday – a day before the start of the weekly sewalong – I release a Premiere Video on YouTube at 7:30pm (Eastern Time). It’s an opportunity to learn about that week’s project, ask questions, and interact live with other members of the sewalong.
